My Journal-More Snow??

Well they are calling for more snow. I am not sure how I feel about that.
I get so excited every year for the first snow fall. I make cookies and coco. Sometimes I even feel the aroma of a good stew coming from my croc-pot.
However, we enter February in the morning and I know it is still winter, however I feel the desire for spring.
Are you ready for more snow??

Home Schooling-Alphabet Game

This is the "alphabet game" I came up with for my 5 year old homeschooler. You need to write out the alphabet as I did and also get a container of play dough. I bought a few colors and let the little guy pick which one he wanted to use. This week he is loving orange!

It is very easy to play. Have him/her break off some of the play dough and make three balls. We made each one a different size. You could also play with more then one child and use a different color for each child.

Then I called out the letter, size it was and what size ball he should use. Beyond the fact it was a wonderful way to use his letter recognition and have his confidence grow that he knew his letters,it also was a great listening skills game. It held his interest for a long time. He also requested to play the game again. Which made me feel great. I am finding that he truly enjoys hands on learning like this.

Let me know what's going on in your learning space!

Of course this is another one of our famous camera shots. Southern Man loves these posses. I think one year I am going to make an entire scrap book of these.

Vacation Kick!

I am on a vacation kick lately. I can not stop thinking about getting away again. Not, that I was not blessed by our first trip this year. However there is something about taking a time out, that I forgot how much worth it has to it. This is a photo that I took on our trip last June to Keywest. That was an amazing vacation. It too was a blessing to us, it was the honeymoon we had saved for several years to go on.

Finally we got to take. I think it meant more now then it would have several years ago. I cherished my Southern Man much more now, then I did several years ago. It's funny because lately I feel like I am falling in love with him all over again.
It amazes me how God has more in store for you then you could ever imagine. Like right now my love for my Southern Man is greater then I ever thought was possible. I truly thought my love was the greatest it could be several years ago when we first met, who knew it could grow more.
Who knows when God will send me on another amazing trip. I do know this, I can not wait to see what he has in store for me!

A Gift From God!-Cynthia's Journal

I am proud to say I just came from where this photo was taken. Guanacaste Costa Rica! This is the sunset from the beach where we stayed. The trip was a true gift from GOD. This photo I did not take, that is something that is rare you will find on this blog, because I love to take photos!!

My husband was awarded this gift from his employer for going above and beyond in his job. My husband is known for above and beyond, but that in a journal entry for another day.

I can not say I wish I was still there, yes I had a wonderful time, however if you are a parent you know, to return home to the arms of your child is more fulfilling then an amazing vacation.

I will write about my time in Costa Rica again soon.

For now, I am going to easy back into my life, like you would an amazing hot bath, which is where I am headed now!!
Blessings,
Cynthia
